The 2024 North by Northwest Region 13 Convention was held in Spokane, WA from May 16-19, 2024, and what a fine, fun-filled weekend it was! Congratulations to Rhapsody Quartet for winning the Quartet Competition, and to Jet Cities Chorus for taking first place in our Chorus Competition.
North by Northwest is famous for its famous action sequences such as hanging on Mount Rushmore and the crop duster plane scene. Hitchcock returned to this well again and again—sometimes directly like in this film and The Wrong Man in 1956, and sometimes in a roundabout way like in Strangers on a Train or Psycho, where detectives are following the wrong case.The wrong man theme puts an everyman into an impossible situation.
