Vicky, a cerebral, soon-to-be-married major in Catalan studies, and Cristina, her adventurous and carefree best friend, decide to spend their summer vacation in beautiful Barcelona. But there, the same man catches their eye at an art gallery exhibition: he is seductive Juan Antonio, an eccentric painter known for his scandalous divorce from Maria Elena, his tempestuous former wife.
