Ed Binns est un acteur américain né Edward Binns, le 12 septembre 1916 à Philadelphie, en Pennsylvanie, et décédé le 4 décembre 1990 à Brewster, État de New York (États-Unis). Peu connu du public, il a pourtant joué dans de nombreux films qui sont aujourd'hui considérés comme des grands classiques du cinéma ( La Mort aux trousses , Jugement à Nuremberg , Patton , Le Verdict , etc.).
Edward Binns was an American actor. He had a wide-spanning career in film and television, often portraying competent, hard working and purposeful characters in his various roles. He is best known for his work in acclaimed films as 12 Angry Men, North by Northwest, Judgment at Nuremberg, Fail Safe, The Americanization of Emily, Patton and The Verdict.
Binns had become, and would forever remain, a character actor. “I see an actor as an inside-out human being.” E.B. Edward Binns cherished performing in regional theatre and, in particular, credited Tyrone Guthrie with teaching him to be, “a tougher, more durable, more independent and self-sufficient actor.”
