Hace 4 días · As early as 1228 the Marshals held some land in Enborne, and Walter Marshal or his brother Anselm probably acquired the interest of the Earls of Warwick shortly after Thomas de Newburgh's death, for the fee was subsequently divided between two of Anselm's heirs, represented later by the Earls Marshal and the Earls of Gloucester.
