Hace 4 días · Some of the early jazz musicians from New Orleans include Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, and Sidney Bechet. These musicians helped to define the sound of jazz and spread its popularity throughout the United States and around the world.
20 de jun. de 2024 · Recording first with the mixed-race band the New Orleans Rhythm Kings, and then in 1926 with Red Hot Peppers, Morton was able to arrange his music in such a way as to retain the originality of improvisation and the composition when notated.
20 de jun. de 2024 · During this time, Lil wrote “Sweet Lovin’ Man” which was recorded first by the New Orleans Rhythm Kings and later by King Oliver’s band. In 1922, when the renovations at Royal Gardens were complete and the band was called back to Chicago, Lil was soon asked to rejoin the group.
