The values you show in the NPN circuit above are generally OK, if you want some more volume, change the 330R to something higher, say 1K, and put a trim pot in the 8K2 spot, adjust for 4.5V on Q2C.

  4. Modded fuzz face. Alrighty, I made a post a few days ago asking for help because this thing was oscillating like crazy, thanks everyone commented with suggestions! Helped a ton, ended up gutting and creating a new board. Real quiet now! Mods from the standard circuit are: 470ohm up to 1k. put a 100k trim to fine tune q1 bias.
