12 de jun. de 2024 · George Henry Hubert Lascelles, the 7th Earl of Harewood, passed away peacefully at his home, Harewood House, on July 11, 2011, at the age of 88. A member of the British royal family, Lord Harewood was a first cousin to Queen Elizabeth II and a respected figure in British society.

16 de jun. de 2024 · Harewood House Yorkshire, England, is one of the oldest buildings in England. Built in 1771, this is one of the few Treasure Houses of England. The first Baron of Harewood, Edwin Lascelles, first commissioned the building and passed it down several generations.
Hace 2 días · Fagg, the Chinaman, since the renewed rage in England for old valuables, has in vain offered Lord Harewood immense sums for this collection; but it was originally made by his elder brother, well known then as Beau Lascelles, who died unmarried, in 1814, and is always preserved in the family as a souvenir of him.
Sir Henry Wyatt died in 1537, his son Sir Thomas in 1542, and Sir Thomas son of the latter was attainted in 1554 for endeavouring to raise Kent against the queen's marriage with Philip of Spain. (fn. 24) Whether the Wyatts alienated Forcett or it was forfeited to the Crown is uncertain.
