27 de jun. de 2024 · By the late 1930s, she was known as a composer, producer, and arranger. In 1947, she started her own radio show, Mary Lou Williams’ Piano Workshop. In the 1950s, Williams embraced her faith, and many of her later jazz hits, like “Black Christ of the Andes” and “Music for Peace,” reflected her Catholic beliefs.
