Patrick Leonard Sajak (/ ˈ s eɪ dʒ æ k / SAY-jak; né Sajdak, born October 26, 1946) is an American consultant, former television personality, and game show host. He is best known as the host of the television game show Wheel of Fortune , a position which he held from 1981 to 2024.

Pat Sajak was born on 26 October 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for Wheel of Fortune (1983), Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) and The A-Team (1983). He has been married to Lesly Brown since 31 December 1989.
