Works of Love (Danish: Kjerlighedens Gjerninger) is a book by Søren Kierkegaard written in 1847. It is one of the works which he published under his own name, as opposed to his more famous "pseudonymous" works.
Kierkegaard advises that the work of love of remembering one who is dead is a work of the most unselfish love. A proof of human love is that it abides. When loves abides within you, then you know that you are experiencing love within the context of God’s view of time.

In Works of Love Kierkegaard methodically treats several biblical aspects of spiritual love in relation to erotic love and friendship. His thoroughness is reminiscent of the writings of the Puritans, who would examine their theme from many angles in an attempt to exhaustively treat their subject.
