Jigee Viertel (born Virginia Lee Ray; September 30, 1915 – January 31, 1960) was an actress in early Hollywood pictures and later the wife of screenwriters Budd Schulberg and Peter Viertel.
When Jigee Viertel was born on 3 September 1915, in Pennsylvania, United States, her father, Robert M Ray Jr, was 42 and her mother, Mazie Lauth, was 23. She married Budd Wilson Schulberg on 31 December 1936, in Los Angeles, California, United States.

Viertel was twice married. His first wife was Virginia Ray "Jigee" Schulberg, the ex-wife of the novelist and screenwriter Budd Schulberg; she was pregnant with their only child, Christine, when Viertel abandoned her to live with the fashion model Simone Micheline "Bettina" Bodin.
