South Shore High School is one of the two defunct New York City public high schools in Canarsie, Brooklyn, the other being Canarsie High School. Opened in 1970, it had a capacity of 4000 students in grades nine through twelve.
South Shore Educational Complex now houses five small schools: At Victory Collegiate High School , teachers know the students and their parents. Classes are project-based and students meet with their faculty advisor twice a day.

The South Shore High School closed its doors in June 2008, but its former campus comprises today four smaller schools known since 2002 as the Comprehensive Night High School of Brooklyn, institution open to New York City residents 18-21 years of age.
