Carl Gregor Herzog zu Mecklenburg (14 March 1933 – 23 July 2018) was a German historian of music and art. He served as director of the Museum of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart for a period of 18 years, and was noted for his books on music and art.
George, Duke of Mecklenburg (German: Georg Herzog zu Mecklenburg; 5 October [O.S. 22 September] 1899 – 6 July 1963) was the head of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz from 1934 until his death. Through his father, he was a descendant of Emperor Paul I of Russia.

Duke Carl Michael left Denmark for his Remplin Palace estate in Mecklenburg in 1930, joining his nephew and heir Duke Georg who had been living there since 1922. On the death of Duke Carl Michael in 1934 his nephew Duke Georg duly succeeded as head of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
