Rockin' and Romance is the fifth album by American rock band Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers, released in 1985 as part of a two-album deal for Richman with Geoff Travis's Rough Trade Records label in the UK.

Jonathan Michael Richman (Natick, Massachusetts, 16 de mayo de 1951) es un cantante, compositor y guitarrista estadounidense. [1] En 1970, fundó the Modern Lovers, una influyente banda proto-punk con la que grabó varios discos hasta fines de los años 1980. This expanded Modern Lovers group would go on to record much of the music on the Jonathan Sings (1983), Rockin' & Romance (1985), and It's Time for Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers (1986) albums. From 1981 to 1984, Richman most often played live in a trio with Keranen and Marshall.
