Jill Janette Freda Belch OBE FRSE (born 22 October 1954) is a Scottish academic working in the field of vascular medicine. Biography. Belch was born in Glasgow on 22 October 1954 to Janetta Finnie Murdoch and Alexander Ross Belch.
She is a founder Fellow of the Academy of Medical Science, and a Fellow of the Royal Society, Edinburgh. Her research interests include vascular medicine, especially peripheral arterial disease, vascular risk, particularly inflammatory aspects, and connective tissue disease with a focus on Systemic Sclerosis.
Jill Belch is a Professor of Vascular Medicine, University of Dundee, UK, where until Jan 2016 she was the Research Dean then Co-Dean of the Medical School. She was NHS Tayside R&D Director for 9years.
