Gordon "Gordo" Stevens was a test pilot and astronaut with NASA. Stevens was part of Apollo 10 and came close to landing on the Moon but had not as that wasn't part of their mission. When the Soviets landed on the Moon shortly after, Gordo and Edward Baldwin faced criticism for not doing so.

Tracy Stevens was the wife of NASA astronaut Gordo Stevens. She later became an astronaut herself, after passing NASA's first women astronauts program in 1970. Her first mission in space was Apollo 25. Tracy and Gordo eventually divorced, and Tracy grew to be a celebrity astronaut.
