The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture is an artists residency located in Madison, Maine, just outside of Skowhegan. Every year, the program accepts online applications from emerging artists from November through January, and selects 65 to participate in the nine-week intensive summer program.
For over seven decades, Skowhegan has offered artists the opportunity to engage fully with their studio practice, with their peers, and with distinguished faculty and mentors in it’s nine-week intensive & residential program.
Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, one of the country’s foremost educational experiences for artists, marks its 75th Anniversary with a public Block Party and series of events and special projects.
