The combined band took the name of Earthworks Underground Orchestra. A New York version of the band was recorded in concert [18] and the results were eventually released in 2006 as the album Earthworks Underground Orchestra (credited to Bruford/Garland).

With the brilliant multi-instrumentalist and composer Tim Garland, and the UK’s brightest young pianist Gwilym Simcock, the ever-evolving Earthworks went on to record “Random Acts of Happiness” (2004) and “Earthworks Underground Orchestra” (2006), and release two Anthology DVDs (2007).
Earthworks needed a come-back album that took no prisoners, and much of this I really like. Great stuff here from pianist Steve Hamilton and saxophonist Patrick Clahar on ‘Dewey-eyed, then Dancing’.
4 de dic. de 2006 · To celebrate this twenty-year anniversary, Bruford and his latest saxophone foil, Tim Garland, put together a nine-piece outfit with top American musicians for a five-night run at Iridium. These shows featured new arrangements of tunes spanning the Earthworks catalog, eight of which were culled for this album.
