Peter Scherpenzeel, Ton's younger brother, was Kayak's roadie in the early days. In 1978, he joined as the band's bass player, when Theo de Jong left after just one album. Peter played bass on Kayak's best-selling album Phantom of the Night, as well as on the two following albums.
Peter Scherpenzeel ( 1954) is een Nederlands kunstenaar en musicus. In de jaren 70 was hij roadie en lichtshowmedewerker bij de muziekgroep Kayak en speelde als hobby basgitaar.

Peter was a musician in the popular Dutch band, Kayak during the 1970's and lucky for us, he decided to put aside his professional bass playing and embark on a career of lamp making. Peter took us to a unique and wonderful part of the Netherlands, Zaase Shans where this photo was taken.
