Located in Southborough, Massachusetts, Fay is a private day and boarding school for kindergarten - grade 9. The boarding program, an option in grades 7-9, unites students from across the United States and the world in a lively, diverse, and truly multicultural community.
Fay School was founded in 1866 by sisters Eliza Burnett Fay and Harriet Burnett in a former parsonage of the Unitarian church, across from St. Mark's School, where Fay students traditionally attended secondary school. [1] In its first school year, the school had only seven students: five day students and two boarders.

Welcome to Fay School! If you come visit our campus, your tour will begin at Fay House, which is home to our Office of Admission. One of the oldest buildings on our campus, it is named for our founder, Eliza B. Fay.

Our community includes 475 students in kindergarten through grade nine. Of those, 150 students are boarders who come from the US and 20+ countries.
