The designer Sylvia Priestley was the daughter of the author J. B. Priestley (1894-1984). She studied in London at the Slade School of Art and at the Central School of Arts and Crafts. Priestley designed textiles and wallpapers and worked for the textile manufacturers Jacqmar Ltd and Warner & Sons.
Sylvia Nancy Goaman (née Priestley; 30 April 1924 – 3 August 2006) was a British graphic designer, specialising in textile, postage stamp, and stained glass window design.
