Meetings with Remarkable Men is a 1979 British biographical drama film directed by Peter Brook and based on the book of the same name by Greek-Armenian mystic, G. I. Gurdjieff, first published in English in 1963.
Meetings with Remarkable Men is the creative memoir of George Ivanovich Gurdjieff (c. 1872 - 1949). Written in an informal, early last century voice, it is an unreliable autobiography featuring the men (and one woman) who spurred Mr. Gurdjieff’s philosophical quest.
Meetings with Remarkable Men, autobiographical in nature, is the second volume of the All and Everything trilogy written by the Greek - Armenian spiritual teacher G. I. Gurdjieff. Gurdjieff started working on the Russian manuscript in 1927, revising it several times over the coming years.
