Learn by Doing ensures you play an active role in helping solve some of California’s — and the world’s — most complex challenges: climate change, tech and humanity, space, the built environment, food and wine, and entrepreneurship, to name just a few.
Polytechnic School, often referred to simply as Poly, is a college preparatory private day school located in Pasadena, California with approximately 850 students enrolled in grades Kindergarten through 12. The school is a former member of the G20 Schools group.
We Look Forward to Getting to Know Your Family! The application process for the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School is outlined below. Our main admission entry points are kindergarten, sixth, seventh, and ninth grades.
In 2023, U.S. News & World Report named us both the most innovative school in the west and the top public school in the west. They’ve also named us the west’s best public, master’s-level university for 31 consecutive years.
