My Hour of Need is an album by jazz vocalist Dodo Greene featuring performances accompanied by the Ike Quebec Quintet recorded in 1962 and released on the Blue Note label.
Dodo Greene was a R&B-inflected jazz vocalist who only recorded a handful of dates during the early ’60s. Her one major record was My Hour of Need, a session she cut in 1962 with an impressive stable of Blue Note artists, including Ike Quebec, Grant Green, Herbie Lewis, Milt Hinton, Billy Higgins, and Al Harewood.
Grant Green (San Luis, Misuri; 6 de junio de 1935 — Nueva York; 31 de enero de 1979) fue un guitarrista y compositor estadounidense de jazz. Editada su amplia obra casi exclusivamente en Blue Note Records (como líder y acompañante), Green se aproximó tanto al hard bop como al soul jazz, bebop y latin jazz a lo largo de su carrera.
