Jeremy Dickson Paxman (born 11 May 1950) is an English retired broadcaster, journalist, author, and television presenter. Born in Leeds , Paxman was educated at Malvern College and St Catharine's College, Cambridge , where he edited the undergraduate newspaper Varsity .
The TV presenter, who has Parkinson's, presented a list of five recommendations to the prime minister on World Parkinson's Day. He said the disease "makes you wish you hadn't been born" and criticised the government's response.
