Robert Jolin Osborne (/ ˈ ɒ z b ɔːr n /; May 3, 1932 – March 6, 2017) was an American film historian, television presenter, author, actor and the primary host for more than 20 years of the cable channel Turner Classic Movies (TCM).

Robert Osborne, who served as the primetime host and anchor of Turner Classic Movies (TCM) since its launch in 1994, passed away in New York City. In recognition of his extensive career, Osborne received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in October 2006.
