Richard Charters (Edmund Burns) is in prison for a murder that he didn't commit. He escapes and makes his way to the docks, looking for a way to get out of town. There, he learns about Capt. McCall's (James Donnelly) treasure hunt from McCall's scheming first mate, Johnson (Walter Long). Richard decides to stow away on McCall's ship after he meets the man's daughter, Ann (Molly O'Day).
