The Shooting of Dan McGrew is an extant 1924 American silent drama film directed by Clarence G. Badger. Distributed by Metro Pictures final film, the film is based on the 1907 poem "The Shooting of Dan McGrew" written by Robert W. Service.

When Dan McGrew offers to put Lou on the New York stage and beats Jim in a fight, she runs away with him to Alaska, where she becomes a decoy in the Malamute saloon. Learning that Lou has been duped by her abductor, Jim follows them to the Klondike and kills McGrew.

The tale takes place in a Yukon saloon during the Yukon Gold Rush of the late 1890s. It tells of three characters: Dan McGrew, a rough-neck prospector; McGrew's sweetheart Lou, a formidable pioneer woman; and a mysterious, weather-worn stranger who wanders into the saloon where the former are among a crowd of drinkers.
