Robert Lyle (born March 11, 1944) is a jazz pianist/organist and educator. Early life. Lyle was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 11, 1944, to parents Robert and Elise Lyle. [1] . He grew up in a musical household after the family moved from Memphis to Minneapolis when Lyle was age 1.
The sky’s the limit for this multi-faceted man of music, as he continues to explore opportunities to perform with various configurations of his piano bands, organ trio, and as a solo pianist. With Bobby Lyle on all keyboards, he is joined with an all-star guest performer lineup for his forthcoming CD IVORY FLOW. The CD is contemporary and smooth with sensuous rhythms and signature Lyle melodies. But there are also a couple of traditional surprises as well (Indigo Nights, Cleo’s Waltz).
