Tord Gustavsen nació el 15 de octubre de 1970 en Oslo, Noruega. Es un músico pianista especializado en jazz. Estudió en el conservatorio de Trondheim y en la Universidad de Oslo. Ha hecho varias giras internacionales y lidera un trío musical bajo su mismo nombre.

Tord Gustavsen (born 5 October 1970) is a Norwegian jazz pianist and composer. He tours extensively worldwide, and he has been a bandleader for a trio, ensemble and quartet at various times, all bearing his name.
Tord playing with Eivind Aarset, Trygve Seim, and others – and also curating the festival; which includes performances by the Estonian choir Vox Clamantis, Indian pianist Utsav Lal, Norwegian pianist Ingfrid Breie Nyhus, actress Juni Dahr, and others.
While relating to fields like Scandinavian folk music, gospel, Caribbean music and cool jazz alike, Tord’s ensembles present a unique universe of lyricism and subtle funkiness. His way of melding jazz history with ‘Nordic’ reflective moods and lyrical beauty brings about an intriguing voice on today’s music scene.
