Es médico hematólogo durante la campaña de Túnez (1943) y la de Normandía (1945). Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se dedica a la investigación, primero en el Centro Regional de Transfusión Sanguínea y más tarde en el Centro Nacional.
