Alexander Nikolayevich Nesmeyanov ForMemRS (Russian: Александр Николаевич Несмеянов; 9 September [O.S. 28 August] 1899 – 17 January 1980) was a Soviet chemist and academician (1943) specializing in organometallic chemistry.
Aleksandr Nikoláievich Nesmeyánov 1 (en ruso: Александр Николаевич Несмеянов; 28 de agosto jul. / 9 de septiembre de 1899 greg., Moscú – 17 de enero de 1980, Moscú) fue un prominente químico soviético y académico (1943) especializando en química organometálica.
Alexander Nikolaievich Nesmeyanov. Eminente químico y profesor ruso, interesado también en las ramas de la Biología, la Hidrobiología y la Ornitología. Se destaca por formular toda una serie de postulados que amplían las bases clásicas de la teoría de la estructura química.
Aleksandr Nikoláievich Nesmeyánov fue un prominente químico soviético y académico (1943) especializando en química organometálica. Obtuvo su grado en Química en 1920 en la Universidad Estatal de Moscú, donde fue profesor y luego rector.
Prof. Nesmeyanov was outstanding scientist, organizer, and builder. He had organized and headed the laboratory of organometallic compounds first in the Institute of Organic Chemistry of USSR (1935–1954) and then in the new Institute of Organoelement Compounds of USSR (1954–1980).

Working at Moscow State University, Nesmeyanov coined the term “organoelement” chemistry by the 1950s, which combines organic chemistry with chemistry of the p- and d-block elements.
Aleksandr Nikolayevich Nesmeyanov (1899–1980), full member of the Science Academy, was a Russian or, rather, Soviet scientist who occupied a commanding position in Soviet science for a long period of time. Nesmeyanov contributed significantly to the development of organometallic and organoelement chemistry.
