Dimitri Konstantinovich Simes ( Russian: Дмитрий Константинович Саймс; born October 29, 1947) is a Russian-American author, editor, and political pundit. He is the former president and CEO of The Center for the National Interest, where he served from 1994 to 2022.

He argues that the U.S. should negotiate with Russia over Crimea and avoid escalating the conflict.
Since then Simes has served as President of the Nixon Center and is currently president and CEO of the Center for the National Interest.
