Previous attempts to separate polyester from cotton in polycotton blends resulted in the destruction of one fiber or the other. With our technology, both fibers are able to be recovered and reused for like-new textiles.
In 2005, we built a food-grade recycled polyester chip plant and successfully applied rPET to food packaging, realizing the high-value recycling of used beverage bottles. The plant treats 50,000 tons of waste PET beverage bottles annually, which is equivalent to a direct reduction of 105,500 tons of carbon dioxide.
