Packing group I: Substances presenting high danger; Packing group II: Substances presenting medium danger; and Packing group III: Substances presenting low danger. The packing group to which a substance is assigned is indicated in the Dangerous Goods List in Chapter 3.2.
Packing Instructions are based on Hazard Classification, Packing Group, and quantity. The General Packing Requirements found in IATA 5.0.2 apply to all shipments. Packaging must be of good quality and must remain closed during transport (IATA 5.0.2.4).
