GameSpy was an American provider of online multiplayer and matchmaking middleware for video games founded in 1999 by Mark Surfas.
I have a rare piece of software I want to use, Netathlon 2FX, but it requires a Gamespy ID to authenticate before you can use online features. It doesn’t need any software, it just seems to be an authentication method (assuming authentication still works, but I have no way to be sure).

29 de abr. de 2013 · although gamespy is shut down you can still create an account in game. i have done it recently to play online so i can confirm it works.
