The design of the Wexner Center building reflected the then aspiring institution's mandate—to wholly reimagine what a contemporary cultural space could and should be, without regard to preconceived assumptions.
Located on the eastern edge of The Ohio State University’s campus, the Wexner Center was built to accommodate a multidisciplinary space for the exploration and exhibition of contemporary art.
We house the world’s largest collections of works by beloved local artists Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, Elijah Pierce, and George Bellows; and acclaimed collections such as The Photo League and the Philip and Suzanne Schiller Collection of American Social Commentary Art.
