Located in the Adirondack Mountains near Lake Placid, the school has a 220-acre campus with a working farm, organic gardens, a lake, and ski hills.

  6. North Country School (also called NCS) is an independent junior boarding and day school for boys and girls in grades four through nine. Its 220-acre campus is located in Lake Placid, New York, United States, in the High Peaks Region of the 6 million acre Adirondack Park.

  7. North Country School accepts applications on a rolling basis. There is a $50 application fee for domestic students; $100 for international students. If space is available, qualified students can enroll midyear. We accept applications for five-day boarding.
