North Country School is a progressive boarding and day school for grades 4-9, offering a project- and place-based program that integrates academics, arts, and outdoor activities. Located in the Adirondack Mountains near Lake Placid, the school has a 220-acre campus with a working farm, organic gardens, a lake, and ski hills.
North Country School is a place-based, nature-centered school for grades 4–9 in the Adirondack Mountains. It offers a balanced curriculum, a sustainable farm, and a community-focused approach to learning and living.
North Country School (also called NCS) is an independent junior boarding and day school for boys and girls in grades four through nine. Its 220-acre campus is located in Lake Placid, New York, United States, in the High Peaks Region of the 6 million acre Adirondack Park.
North Country School accepts applications on a rolling basis. There is a $50 application fee for domestic students; $100 for international students. If space is available, qualified students can enroll midyear. We accept applications for five-day boarding.
