It is located roughly 2 hours from Columbus, OH, as the nearest major city and airport. While The Wilds is partners of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the two properties are not located near each other, and guests should plan accordingly if planning to travel to both.
About halfway through the tour, you stop at the carnivore area, which has cheetahs, dholes, and African Wild Dogs. The carnivore area is more like a zoo and you are given twenty five minutes to walk around seeing these animals behind enclosures.

The Wilds is a private, non-profit safari park and conservation center that combines conservation science and education programs. The park also offers visitors leisure activities such as ziplining, horseback riding, and fishing.
