Renault Distribution Center is the main distribution unit in the UK for the car manufacturer, Renault. It is located in Swindon, England, and was completed in 1983. It sits on a sloping, irregular-shaped 6.5-acre site near the railway station.
The Renault Centre (or the Renault Distribution Centre) is a high tech [1] building in Swindon commissioned by the French car company Renault for their UK operations. Designed by the British architect Norman Foster of Foster Associates, it opened in 1982 and Renault moved out in 2001.
Fifteen years after completing Reliance Controls, Norman Foster returned to Swindon with another industrial commission, but this time executed in a bold expressionist language which offers a strong contrast with the confident restraint of the earlier electronics factory.
