Once you do so, you will be able to claim your DigitalOcean offer, and can follow the instructions on our website , which will walk you through how to enter your promotional code upon signup.

Will I be charged something by doing so? I just want to make use of my free $50

Recently I applied my promo code from the GitHub Student Pack and I got an email saying my account just received $100, and in the activity field of my account details I can see that I entered the promo code, the problems begins when I enter in the Billing field and I only see $5.00, not $100 : (.
Promotional credit will expire 12 months after it has been issued or redeemed. This includes referral sign-up credit, promotion codes you’ve entered, or credit issued by DigitalOcean staff.
