Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (born July 4, 1951) is an American lawyer. She was the sixth Lieutenant Governor of Maryland from 1995 to 2003. She was unsuccessful in her run for Governor of Maryland in 2002. Kennedy Townsend worked for state government of Maryland, including Attorney General.
