He has been the bassist for Robert Plant's 2010 revival of Band of Joy, country and blues act JD & The Straight Shot, and a longtime collaborator with "newgrass" pioneer Sam Bush.

Word got to Dr. Stafford Kirkpatrick and his wife Lina, owners of 539 Island Park Drive, which had sat vacant for nearly two years after Kirkpatrick had retired and the pair had moved to Vancouver.
