Due to his heavyset body, Spinell was mostly cast as an underworld thug, or as a cynical police officer. Spinell entered the field of movies with a small role in the classic movie, ‘The Godfather.’.
10 de oct. de 2023 · Joe Spinell was born Joseph Spagnuolo on October 28, 1936, in Manhattan, New York, to Italian immigrant parents. He was the youngest of six children and grew up in a poor neighborhood. His father, Pelegrino Spagnuolo, died from liver and kidney disease when Joe was 14 years old.
After a few years of hard work and searching, Spinell found financing for the sequel, though just as pre-production was to begin, Joe Spinell suddenly passed away in his apartment in Sunnyside, Queens, New York on January 13, 1989, at age 52, due to undetermined causes, still the subject of much speculation.
