Hera fue la primera hija de los titanes Cronos y Rea. Como sus hermanos Hestia, Démeter, Hades y Poseidón fue devorada por su padre al nacer y, más tarde, liberada del estómago de Cronos por la acción de su hermano menor Zeus.
