Životopis. Hemingwayeva rodna kuća u Oak Parku. Rođen je 21. srpnja 1899. u kući koju je sagradio njegov djed udovac Ernest Hall. Hemingway je bio drugo od šestero djece dr. Clarencea i Grace Hall. Imao je četiri sestre i jednog brata. Ime je dobio po svom djedu s majčine strane Ernestu Hallu i ujaku Milleru Hallu.
