Magnum Foundation, Magnum Photos, and the Inge Morath Estate are pleased to announce Tamara Merino as the recipient of this year’s Inge Morath Award. She will receive a $5,000 production grant to support the completion of her long-term documentary project, Underland.For the first time in the award’s history, the finalist will receive a $1,000 grant in support of their project.
Inge Morathová (27. března 1923 Štýrský Hradec, Štýrsko, Rakousko – 30. ledna 2002 New York, USA) byla americká fotografka narozená v Rakousku. Byla představitelkou poválečné reportážní fotografie a členkou fotografické agentury Magnum Photos – první ženou této fotografické agentury, která na její počest od roku 2002 každoročně uděluje Cenu Inge Morathové.
