Some Like It Hot also scored Oscar® nominations for Best Actor (Jack Lemmon), Best Director, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography (black and white), and Art Direction - Set Decoration (black and white). Marilyn Monroe was reportedly heartbroken over not being nominated.
