About Leslie. Leslie Madsen-Brooks is a professor, public historian, and academic technologist. In 2015, Leslie became director of the IDEA Shop (Instructional Design and Educational Assessment) at Boise State University. She works with a fabulous team of five instructional designers, as well as staff at the university’s testing center.
Leslie Brooks was born on July 13, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA as Virginia Leslie Gettman. Sadly, Brooks passed away from cancer in May 2020 at age 56. Leslie Douglass is a dedicated educator, mother, and now grandmother. Leslie worked directly with Taryn Manning (the actress who played Leslie in the movie) to help prepare her for the role and is featured in the movie singing “Shenandoah” in the restaurant scene.

She last returned to the CBS soap on March 26, 208, during the 45th anniversary. Last month, it was announced that she would return once again. She is set to make her first appearance this month.
