  4. Meyer Lansky (born Maier Suchowljansky; July 4, 1902 – January 15, 1983), known as the "Mob's Accountant," was an American organized crime figure. He helped create the National Crime Syndicate in the United States. Lansky died of lung cancer on January 15, 1983, aged 80 in Miami Beach, Florida.
